Ministry of Planning FGS hosts a meeting with the Committee of finance, budget, planning and accountability.

The heads of the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia held a meeting in Mogadishu with the Committee on Finance, Budget, Planning and Accountability of Government Agencies of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia.


This meeting was attended by the Minister of Planning, H.E Mohamud A. Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene), accompanied by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry, Mr. Mohamed Abdulqadir Ali, Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Asad Yusuf Qanyare, Chairman of the Finance, Budget, Planning and Accountability of the government agencies of the House of the People Mr. Mohamed Farah Noah, all the Board and Department Directors and Consultants of the Ministry of Planning.

During the meeting, the two sides analyzed the issues of priority for our country, first of all the country’s budget, which the Ministry has a sixth part in its preparation. Also, the Law on Non-Governmental Organizations prepared by the Ministry and its acceleration in the development process of the country.

Minister of Planning explained the significance of the meeting.
“The Budget, Planning and Accountability Committee of the Parliament is of particular importance to the Somali people. As a Ministry, it means a lot to us, to work together on the legislation that the Ministry has already prepared and which is before the Parliament, the first of which; Non-Governmental Organizations Bill (NGO Bill).

“The Ministry of Planning is committed to working closely with the large-scale work ahead of us. As a committee, we ask you to follow us in the sessions of the Parliament to pass the laws that are of great importance to our country,” said Minister Mohamud.

The Chairman of the Committee on Budget, Planning and Accountability of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E Mohamed Farah Nuux said that the committee is ready to increase the various functions of the Ministry and the committee between them.
